When he was weak, he was strong.

Last Thursday I had some dental work done and according to my dentist I probably bit my tongue while it was numb. So, for the past week, I have been dealing with a sore tongue which makes it very difficult to talk and eat. I will need your prayers to get through another weekend of preaching. The dentist said the tongue takes time to heal. I think about the Apostle Paul when he talked about his “thorn” in the flesh. His conclusion was that when he was weak, he was strong. I am striving for that same attitude and perspective.

Just a reminder to bring your side dish and/or dessert to share at the Fellowship Dinner this Sunday (October 18) immediately after worship in Fellowship Hall. The Quarterly Business Meeting after the dinner will focus on our 2016 budget. Barbecue meatballs and mac ‘n cheese will be provided. We look forward to seeing you.

There will not be a service at our Burrton Campus on Saturday, October 31st. Instead, we will be giving out candy at the Burrton’s Community’s Trunk or Treat outreach.

At the end of the month the Deacons will be choosing members for a search team to find our next Pastor for our Burrton Campus. Please keep this search in prayer.

If you have trusted in Jesus as your Savior and have not yet been baptized, please contact me (chip@livingalegacy.church) to set up a time to discuss this important decision.
