Welcome Stuart

Please keep our students in prayer while they are serving in Denver. They will begin to make their way back here sometime on Saturday. They have had air conditioning issues in the van but we have found a solution to that problem. I am proud of our students and leaders.

On Sunday night, the Elders of our church hired Stuart Pederson to be our Burrton Campus Pastor. He and his wife, Regina, will be moving from Omaha, Nebraska. Stuart is 59 years old and has a relational heart to reach people far from God. They have four children and four grandkids who live in Wichita and Marion. We are planning on a October 1st start date. They are currently looking at houses in Burrton, so please keep them in prayer as they transition to this community.

Our last Saturday night service in Burrton will be Saturday, August 13th. We are planning to re-launch that church on a Sunday morning at a future date. We will keep you posted.

A new 8-week Connection Group will start on Sunday, September 11 from 9:30-10:30am here at the church. The book study on 1 & 2 Peter and Jude will be led by Dean Schulz. You can sign-up this Sunday at the Information Table. Books are $5 each (collected the first week of the study). Let me know if you have questions.

Our full serve Children’s Church will start on Sunday, September 4th. Children (going into Kindergarten through fourth grade) will need to be dropped off by parents at the lower level east entrance prior to service. If you have any questions, please contact Lacie Hill, our Children’s Ministry Director. Her email: Lacie@livingalegacy.church

Thanks again for your school supply donations! What a blessing to give back to the precious children in our community. The Salvation Army distributed these in Fellowship Hall yesterday.

I appreciate you and love being your Pastor! Have a GREAT week!

Pastor Chip
