Safety & Security

We take the security of our congregation, and children, very seriously at First Baptist Church. Our Emergency Task Force is hand-selected, vetted, and then trained to execute necessary safety measures for any emergency situation that may arise during your visit. 

Below you will find our ETF protocol. If you are looking for more information, or would like to be considered for the team, call or text Neko McBee at 316-706-1988!

1.

ETF (Emergency Task Force) at First Baptist Church provides care, concern and protection for those who enter FBC walls.

ETF members are strategically posted each Sunday or whenever an additional need is required.

The children’s nursery and children’s service is located in a secured area of building.

7.

All parents must register and check in their children each Sunday.

9.

Children can only be pick up by authorized individuals whom parents have designated on their original signed registration.

11.

All First Baptist Church’s volunteers, employees and Pastors have to pass back ground check.

13.

Weather Emergency are also a known and posted throughout building

Emergency Exits are posted throughout building

All security volunteers are over the age of 21, have all passed a state back ground check and must be unanimously approved by all ETF volunteers.

One specific post is in the basement area, which includes children’s service and nursery area.

Only authorized individuals can be inside designated Nursery and Children’s service area, doors are secured.

8.

Each child is assigned a bar code, parents are assigned a pager.

10.

Adult to children ratio meets adequate recommendations, with a minimum of two adults

12.

First Aid kits are available through-out First Baptist Church.

14.

Basement will provide some additional protection for weather related concerns
